I wanted to add something fun to my LinkedIn Profile, so I decided to use Character Map on my computer. It’s a simple tool that lets you grab symbols, special letters, and designs you can’t type with your keyboard.
♦ I chose a little black diamond to highlight each point. It made my page easier to read — and it looked sharp!
Here’s how you can use it:
Click the Start button on your PC.
Type Character Map and open it.
Be sure to scroll down inside the character map (there are thousands of symbols).
Click on the symbol you like.
Click Select and then click Copy.
Paste it anywhere — LinkedIn, emails, resumes, wherever you want!
Character Map is like a hidden drawer of cool tools — stars, hearts, foreign letters, emojis, even math symbols.
One of my favorite fonts is the Wingdings font. There are lots of cool symbols.
Give it a try! You might find a symbol that makes your profile shine.(♦, ★, ☀, ☕, ®, ©, ™ — they’re all in there!)
֍ Tip: Save your favorite symbols in a note to reuse them anytime.
Have you used Character Map before? What’s your go-to symbol?
